The Concept of Free domain names is real. Back in the late eighties domains were actually free for 90 years. The concept was based on the fact that people needed email and did not need to be having to register it every year or loose all their emails. Not only is it dangerous it puts the businesses in dire straits. If you have the money to pre register for multiple years. But many dont have the money. You also need a credit card or a bank account. As well as a post office box. The reality of a free 90 year domain registration was destroyed by those seeking to create monopolies and cartels. The rich fear the open nature of free 90 year domain regisrations. In reality they just dont want the competition. The fact that network solutions supposedly even wanted to ban americans from domain ownership. Due to the high competition. They big corporations dont like the fact that any american could register a domain name and become a powerful economic force dude to the high amounts of traffic from willing consumers. Not only did they see this as dangerous but as a threat to the the white judeo christian power structure. The solution for this problem was gradual. The bigots first decided to force you into a yearly domain registration back in 1989 vs the free 90 year registration in 1988. And worse the following year people were charged 100 dollars per domain. Needless to say this caused Millions of domains to be lost. That does not sound like competiton to me it sound like creating cartels and monopolies for the rich would would be able to afford the domain names. As it stands now domains are in a cartel based system. As millions of people lose domains due censorship, disinterest, depression and death these hacker gangs and cartels are amassing millions of domains ilicitly. As it stands only about 3 percent of Americans have reliable email. Free email is not reliable because your account is deleted after a brief period of time. The other 3 percent are those rich enough to be able to keep a website up and running for the next 90 or even 10 years for that matter. In other words 90 percent of businesses belly up over domain issues. Constantly having to come back to a registrar each year putting their credit card information on the net for a service that was originally intended to be free for 90 years. All to provide an opportunity for the corporations that really want your domain to have it. ANd what about the corporations and the rich who never loose a domain name because they have money. While the poor scramble and are even denied revenue that the same rich are allowed based on race and religion.. Ultimately this type of behavior will ultimatly lead to the destruction of the United States dude to class warfare. Where the rich lobby the government to put high fees on normally free services to the detriment of soceity. Anyone that owns a domain name that has value knows the feeling of the current Jim Crowe type system that exsists
